I was so proud to visit our nation's capitol for the first time!
This quote from President Harry S. Truman says it all. This sentiment is what I hope to convey in many of my patriotic songs.
An obligation and privlege to honor our veterans and current military.
LET FREEDOM RING!
There's a high price for liberty. FREEDOM IS NOT FREE.
Here's my new friend, Jerry Simpson, a proud and brave Vietnam veteran, in front of the beautiful Lincoln Memorial. God bless you, Jerry, and thank you for your service to our country.
We will never forget our beloved POW-MIA's. As my song says, "Bring 'Em Home."
America's stately Capitol Building. What an incredible site!
The majestic Washington monument.
What an impressive site! My first viewing of the Lincoln Memorial!
You truly have to see this in person to appreciate the magnitude of it-Abraham Lincoln, our 16th president in the Lincoln Memorial.
This bust of Abraham Lincoln is in the Capitol building.
Each of the 50 states surrounding the fountain at the magnificent World War II Memorial. A beautiful and overdue tribute to the brave men and women who served. As Tom Brokaw named them- "Our Greatest Generation."
One of the poignant granite blocks at the World War II Memorial. What took so long for this memorial to be built?
General Dwight D. Eisenhower in the Capitol building.
Honoring the men and women who fought in what is sometimes referred to as "The Forgotten War", at the Korean War Memorial. Let us never forget.
At the Korean War Memorial.
Also at the Korean War Memorial.
The Wall at the Vietnam War Memorial. The most divisive war in our nation's history. The war of my generation. We can never say, "Thank You" enough to our Vietnam veterans who were so unappreciated at the time.
Yours truly in front of an additional display at the Vietnam Memorial. Hallowed grounds indeed.
A departing view of the Capitol building.
Pictures from my visit to Arlington National cemetery are forthcoming. I videotaped footage for several music videos of my songs here.
A proud, tearful son receiving the flag that draped his father's coffin. As my song says, "There's a high price for liberty......freedom is not free"
